Internship or Professional Development Opportunity at St. Barnabas Center in Harrisburg

Professor Richard Hughes of Messiah has called our attention to an archival internship opportunity at St. Barnabas Center in Harrisburg, a faith-based nonprofit organization committed to serving at-risk, low-income children in the uptown area of Harrisburg.  It is a joint venture between the local Episcopalians and Lutherans, representing the Episcopal Diocese of Central PA and the Lower Susquehanna Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The St. Barnabas Center is looking for an archivist and thought it might be an ideal opportunity for a Messiah College history student.  St. Barnabas has been running Summer and After School programs for eighteen years and its past records are in several locations.  At present, materials are being stored in a file cabinet in the St. Barnabas office and they need some organization.

They are also looking for a non-archival summer intern.
