I just heard from Glenn Stubblolo of Delaware State Parks and he informed me that they still have a few internship opportunities available for the summer. These internships include a stipend and free housing. Glenn writes:
Many of our internships have practical application into fields not regularly associated with Parks and Recreation, (see info below), and have some great benefits in addition to career exploration and field learning. For example, your history students might not consider parks for a possible internship posting, yet everyday our Cultural and Historical interns are conducting historical programs; performing curation, cataloging and handling of historical artifacts; and are carrying out historical research and preservation activities.
We still have summer positions available for Civil War Fort Delaware Historical Interpreter (first person); Historical researcher, (working with the Chief of Cultural Services); Curation and some public presentation (Victorian Auburn Heights Preserve).
