If so, you may want to consider this scholarship.  You do not have to be an English or Journalism major to be considered.–JF

The Ralph Flamminio Memorial Scholarship

is presented by The Pennsylvania Associated Press Managing Editors

The winner will receive a $3,000 cash award

• Pennsylvania resident
• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, but you do not have to be a journalism major;
• Determined to pursue a career in print journalism;
• Excellent student;
• Active with your campus newspaper or have print journalism experience.

To apply, please provide:
• A cover letter describing your experience in print journalism, your interest in the field and what you might contribute to our craft as a journalist; also, tell us something about yourself and your interests.
• College transcript;
• Up to five of your favorite (non-returnable) clips.
• A letter of recommendation from a faculty member or professional, if you choose.

The winner will be announced by early May, and will be honored at the PAPME annual banquet later that month.
