Christine Kelly (Messiah College History, ’11) Wins Best History Thesis Award

Congratulations to Christine Kelly, Messiah College History class of 2011.  Not only did Christine just graduate with her Masters of Arts in History from George Washington University, but she also won the Elmer Louis Kayser Prize, an award given to the writer of the best thesis submitted by a candidate for the degree of Masters of Arts.  Her thesis was titled: “‘Wasn’t That a Time: Pete Seeger and Folk Song Activism in the Cold War Era, 1948-1972.”

In the Fall Christine will begin fully-funded Ph.D work at Fordham University in New York City.
